About Superfund Auditors
WHO WE ARE
Superfund Auditors provides independent annual audits of self-managed super funds for accounting firms, financial planners and SMSF administrators across Australia. The business exists because practices that prepare SMSF accounts cannot audit them, and want an auditor who is registered, responsive and does not get between them and their client.
Our two registered auditors, Kym Nitschke and Melissa Burgess, are both Chartered Accountants based at 338 Glen Osmond Road, Myrtle Bank, South Australia. All audit work is completed in Australia. Nothing is sent offshore, and the auditor who signs your report is the one who answers the phone.

KYM NITSCHKE AND MELISSA BURGESS
Kym Nitschke – Fellow Chartered Accountant, ASIC-registered SMSF auditor (SAN 100030760). Kym has worked in SMSF auditing, tax and financial advice for more than 20 years and leads Superfund Auditors. He has audited funds ranging from single-member cash-and-shares funds to multi-member funds with property, borrowing, unlisted investments and related-party arrangements, and is the first point of contact for practices sending audit work.
Melissa Burgess – Chartered Accountant, ASIC-registered SMSF auditor (SAN 100303786). Melissa has 15 years' experience in SMSF audit and compliance and signs audits alongside Kym, so there is always a registered auditor available through peak season and leave. Both auditors are based at 338 Glen Osmond Road, Myrtle Bank, and all audit work is completed in Australia.
